The World Cup 2026 Starts Today: Where to Watch in Ukraine

On June 11, the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off, which will be hosted for the first time in history by three countries - the USA, Canada, and Mexico. A record 48 national teams will participate in the tournament, and the main challenge for Ukrainian fans will be the time difference with North America.

When to Watch the World Cup Matches in Ukraine

Due to the tournament being held in North America, most matches will be broadcast late in the evening or at night for European viewers.

Matches that take place during the day in the USA will be watchable for Ukrainians in the evening at around 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On the other hand, evening games in American time will start for Ukrainian fans around 1:00 AM, 3:00 AM, or even 5:00 AM.

Among the key matches in the opening week of the tournament:

• June 11 - Mexico vs South Africa (opening match);

• June 13 - USA vs Paraguay;

• June 14 - Brazil vs Morocco;

• June 15 - Spain vs Cape Verde;

• June 16 - France vs Senegal;

• June 17 - England vs Croatia.

Where to Watch the World Cup in Ukraine

The exclusive rights to broadcast all 104 matches of the World Cup in Ukraine have been acquired by the media service MEGOGO.

Viewing all matches will be available to subscribers of the "Sport" or "Megopack" packages. The broadcasts will take place on the channels "MEGOGO Football First", "MEGOGO Football Second", and "MEGOGO Football Third".

At the same time, some matches will be shown for free on the channel "MEGOGO Sport", which is available in digital broadcasting T2 and cable networks.

One match will be broadcast for free each game day, as well as the opening match, two quarter-finals, both semi-finals, the third place match, and the tournament final.

Let us remind you that the oldest player of the 2026 World Cup is Craig Gordon, the goalkeeper of the Scotland national team, who is 43 years and 162 days old. This tournament will be his debut in the World Cup. Additionally, the oldest outfield player is Cristiano Ronaldo from Portugal, who is 41 years and 126 days old.
