Holodomor 1932-33: How the World Honors the Memory of Millions of Victims

Today, Ukrainians around the world honor the memory of millions of people who perished during the Holodomor of 1932–1933 and other artificial famines. Ukrainian diplomats alongside Ukrainian communities in various countries lit candles of remembrance to pay tribute to every lost life under the totalitarian Soviet regime. This important event unites Ukrainians globally and reminds us that the truth will always prevail, despite all attempts to hide it.

Honoring the memory of the Holodomor victims is not only a necessary act of acknowledging historical truth but also a guarantee that such tragedies will not be repeated in the future. By recalling the past, we remember the importance of caution and vigilance in defending truth and freedom.
