It is important for the American side to receive answers from Russia regarding its readiness to cease aggression. Despite the prolonged war, it is hard to imagine that Putin could change his policy. However, a drop in oil prices, sanctions, and pressure might convince even such a well-known figure. Putin continues the war as long as he has funds to maintain loyalty within his circle, the population, and to finance military operations at the front.
