A Climate Council will be established in Ukraine: what tasks are set for experts
The Ukrainian pavilion at the UN climate conference in Brazil became a venue for an important panel discussion on building effective climate governance. The event was organized by the Ministry of Economics, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine in collaboration with the Office of Green Transition and brought together representatives from the European Commission, the UK Parliament, and other high-ranking officials.
During the event, Ukraine's achievements in this area were emphasized, such as the adoption of a framework climate law, defining a climate neutrality target by 2050, and adopting a new plan to reduce emissions by 65% by 2035. One of the next steps to enhance efforts in this area is the formation of a new Scientific and Expert Council on Climate Change and Ozone Layer Protection.
