Ukrainian Special Forces Destroy Key Installation of Ilsky Oil Refinery: Consequences for the Russian Federation

According to glavcom.ua: Ukraine's special operations forces, together with Russian partisans, conducted an attack on the Ilsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. This information was disseminated by the 'Glavkom' portal referencing Ukraine's special operations forces.

'On the night of September 7, the special operations forces, along with the resistance group 'Black Spark' in the Krasnodar region, carried out actions at the oil refinery - Ilsky Oil Refinery named after A. A. Shamar', the message states.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the special operations organizations and Russian partisans, the processing unit YELOU-AT-6, which supports the refinery's operation, was destroyed. This complex is responsible for the initial processing of oil, which is then transformed into gasoline and diesel fuel.

Consequences of the Attack

After this operation, the oil refinery ceased operations and cannot function without restoring the installation. It's worth noting that there were prior reports of a fire at the plant following drone attacks on the same day.

It should also be noted that recently residents of the Ryazan region complained about a series of explosions, especially around the local oil refinery, which also became a target of drone strikes.

During the special operation at the Ilsky oil refinery, an important installation was destroyed, leading to the suspension of the plant's operations and the subsequent need for equipment restoration. The events of this operation reflect the escalation of the situation in southern Russia and confirm the activity of saboteurs on the territory of the country.
