According to ХВИЛЯ: A scorching heatwave is set to sweep across Ukraine on June 29, 2023, with temperatures in the western regions soaring between 33°C and 38°C. Most areas will remain dry, though isolated thunderstorms may roll in during the evening across Zakarpattia, Volyn, and Sumy regions. In Kyiv, the daytime high will hit 33°C, with no rain expected.
Regional temperature breakdown:
- Western Ukraine: 33°C to 38°C;
- Northern, central, and southern areas: 29°C to 35°C;
- Eastern regions: 27°C to 29°C.
Forecasters predict a reprieve from the heat on July 2–3, when an atmospheric front will bring heavy downpours and thunderstorms to the country.
