На Україну 12 серпня завітало прохолодження, але вже найближчими вихідними знову очікується спекотна погода.

Wednesday, August 12: A cooldown takes hold

According to ХВИЛЯ: Forecaster Natalka Didenko expects most of Ukraine to move into the rear of a cold atmospheric front on Wednesday, August 12, bringing a clear drop in daytime temperatures. Values will ease to +21...+26°C across much of the country, while the south and southeast stay warmer at +28...+31°C. This forecast gives a useful reminder of how quickly a hot summer pattern can be disrupted by a passing front.

Evening and overnight hours could bring brief thunderstorms and rain, but the daytime is expected to be largely dry nationwide. In Kyiv, rain is possible late in the day or at night, with highs around +23°C on Wednesday.

“Ukraine will see a mostly dry daytime on Wednesday, with no substantial rainfall,” Didenko said.

What changes after the cooldown

Satellite imagery shows the cold front’s cloud cover over western Ukraine, confirming that the weather is about to change.

“A comfortable spell will last from Wednesday until the weekend, when the heat returns,” the meteorologist added.

The expected shift can affect outdoor plans and daily routines, while the agricultural sector may benefit from the added moisture as crops grow. Still, the break will be brief, and residents should be ready for temperatures to climb again after the weekend.

The upcoming shift in weather patterns serves as a reminder of how quickly conditions can change, especially after recent highs. As temperatures soared to +33°C, the upcoming cooldown will be a stark contrast, impacting not only daily activities but also agricultural practices.
