According to ХВИЛЯ: The CIA director arrived in the Russian capital on Tuesday for talks with Kremlin officials, marking his first visit to Russia in that role. Two U.S. officials disclosed the trip, and a source briefed on the matter confirmed that Washington had asked Ukraine to hold off on strikes against Russia while the delegation was present.

Ratcliffe left Washington on Sunday aboard a government aircraft and traveled to Latvia, then flew from Riga to Moscow on a U.S. Air Force C-17 transport plane. Flight-tracking services followed the C-17 as it touched down at Vnukovo Airport at around 10:00 a.m. Moscow time. This makes him the highest-ranking Trump administration official to visit Russia since January.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he had no information about the flight. CBS was the first to report the trip. Separately, Senator Marco Rubio announced a new push to restart negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, pointing to the complicated political situation as the main obstacle.
