According to Главком: The director of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant Yuriy Chernychuk expressed his position on the US proposal for joint management of the ZNPP, considering the plant a Russian object. He noted that he cannot imagine a form of joint management of the ZNPP, raising questions about the feasibility of implementing this proposal.

Joint plan for resolving the war

In addition, Ukraine and the USA have reached the final stage of preparing a joint plan for resolving the war, which contains 20 points. The mentioned document has already been agreed upon by 90%. As part of this plan, the USA proposes joint operation of the ZNPP by three countries: Ukraine, the USA, and the Russian Federation. At the same time, Ukraine's compromise proposal foresees the creation of a joint venture between the USA and Ukraine with a 50-50 split.

These events occur against the backdrop of an ongoing conflict and the need for stable management of critically important facilities, such as nuclear power plants.

The significance of the situation around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lies in its strategic importance for the energy security of both Ukraine and Europe as a whole. Joint management of such critical infrastructure requires harmonizing the interests of all parties involved, which can be challenging in the context of the current conflict. At the same time, achieving a compromise between the USA and Ukraine could be an important step towards stabilizing the regional situation and enhancing security in the energy sector.
