This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the president, there is a likelihood of signing economic documents between Washington and Moscow. Separately, Zelensky mentioned possible signals from the Kremlin regarding the occupied Crimea and suggested that Moscow might try to persuade the USA to recognize it, understanding that Ukraine will not agree to it.
The president also expressed the opinion that direct conversations about control over Ukrainian territories, including Donbas, might be held between President Donald Trump and President Putin. At the same time, he emphasized that the end of the war is possible only under fair conditions and without rewards for the aggressor.
Zelensky stressed that some aspects of the USA-Russia relations may not concern Ukraine, however, any agreements affecting national interests, territories, or the rights of Ukrainians cannot be made without Kyiv's participation.
It should be noted that the USA and Ukraine are discussing plans to achieve a peace agreement with Russia by March, although deadlines may shift. The agreement is expected to be put to a referendum simultaneously with the national elections in Ukraine.
