On February 1, the U.S. announced a 10% tariff on goods from eight countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Denmark. These tariffs could increase to 25% by June 1 if no agreement is reached regarding Greenland. In response, Manfred Weber, a representative of the European People's Party, has urged the EU to suspend planned tariff reductions on American goods. This suggests Europe is preparing defensive economic measures to counter the U.S. actions and protect its own interests.
