Istanbul and Antalya break passenger traffic records: numbers that amaze
The 'Istanbul' airport and the airport in Antalya have set new records in passenger traffic, serving the highest number of passengers in their history. This was reported by Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu on social media.
«Two airports, four historical records on August 2. Istanbul Airport reached the highest daily passenger traffic figure in Europe's history - 282,070 passengers and 1,698 flights,» the message said.
In turn, the airport in Antalya also broke its record, serving 228,427 passengers and 1,225 flights a day.
