IDPs with disabilities will receive financial assistance for housing

According to Кулеба: Starting from December 1, a housing voucher program for internally displaced persons living in temporarily occupied territories will begin. Families with combat veteran status or individuals with disabilities due to the war will be provided with an opportunity to obtain a housing voucher worth 2 million UAH through the 'Diia' application for purchasing housing, constructing, or repaying a mortgage.

Who can apply?

  • an internally displaced person with the status of combat veteran or disability due to the war since 2014;
  • has a confirmed previous place of residence;
  • has an IDP certificate with an actual address in a controlled territory;
  • does not have other housing in controlled territories;
  • has not received housing assistance in other programs and has no active applications in eRecovery.

To apply, you need to have an updated 'Diia' application, confirm the family composition, and sign the application. After that, the application is checked by the Ministry of Finance and the local commission.

Program goal

The total volume of the first 120 million euros will allow providing housing for three thousand families. The main goal is to ensure that everyone who lost their home as a Ukrainian receives a new place of residence.

We are making efforts so that every needy family can take advantage of the program. We are seeking additional funding, not waiting for reparations from Russia.
Our goal is for every affected Ukrainian to be able to obtain a new home. This is an important step in creating a support system for those who live and work in Ukraine, building its future.

The Ministry of Development is working on attracting additional funding to develop the program for more people in need of new housing.
