According to ХВИЛЯ: The Stellantis company celebrated its 15th anniversary in Ukraine and presented its development strategy until 2035, which includes plans to launch car production in Ukraine. The General Director of 'Stellantis Ukraine' Ruslan Akimov outlined the key areas the company intends to implement in the coming years.

The company's plans and challenges

In the Ukrainian market, 60% of commercial vehicles from the brands Peugeot, Citroen, and Opel already have localization. This indicates the successful integration of Stellantis products into the Ukrainian automotive segment. However, the realization of new plans will depend on the end of the war and the provision of security guarantees, which are the main conditions for further development of production.

It is worth noting that in 2009-2010, Peugeot-Citroen already considered the possibility of building a plant in Ukraine. Today the company returns to these ideas, setting ambitious goals for the coming years.

The efforts of Stellantis in Ukraine highlight the importance of the automotive industry for the country's economy, particularly in the context of post-war recovery. Plans to launch production may become an important step towards creating new jobs and strengthening the local economy. However, to achieve these plans, challenges related to security and stability in the region must be overcome.
