Ukraine Presents the UR³ Strategy to the U.S. as a National Framework for Recovery

UR³ Strategy Unveiled at U.S.-Ukraine Regional Partnership Forum

According to Міністерство інфраструктури: At the U.S.-Ukraine Regional Partnership Forum, the UR³ strategy was introduced as Ukraine's national framework for recovery during wartime. Oleksiy Kuleba, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, emphasized the critical need to continue rebuilding across all sectors based on long-term priorities. The strategy, which encompasses restoration, reconstruction, and modernization, was detailed by Oleksandr Romanyshyn, International Affairs Advisor to the Recovery Agency. This presentation comes as Ukraine seeks to coordinate international support for its massive reconstruction needs.

Municipal Partnerships and Business Diaspora Engagement

During Ukrainian Week, an agreement was signed to establish a Memorandum on Inter-Municipal Cooperation between the cities of Sumy, Ukraine, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. The memorandum was signed online, with Ukraine's Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova, witnessing the partnership. Additionally, a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian business diaspora in the United States marked a significant step in strengthening international ties. Such partnerships are vital for fostering direct support and investment from American communities and businesses.

It is fundamentally important to continue reconstruction in all sectors based on our long-term priorities. These are clear. We are restoring the housing sector through compensation, accessible housing solutions, and repairs to damaged homes. We are preserving transport as a key element of Ukraine's resilience-ensuring internal connectivity, military logistics, export routes, and evacuation. Together with donors and partners, we are ensuring the stability of vital connections, ports, and railways. And, of course, we are doing everything to provide people with stable basic services.

Consequently, the UR³ strategy and the international cooperation fostered during Ukrainian Week open new avenues for Ukraine's recovery and the development of its partnership with the United States. Implementing these initiatives can contribute not only to economic restoration but also to strengthening social ties between Ukrainian cities and American partners, a crucial step for Ukraine's further integration into the international community.
