According to ХВИЛЯ: A shooting incident occurred near the second department of the Khust Regional Territorial Recruitment Center (RTRC) in Mizhhiria, Zakarpattia Oblast. The confrontation broke out after a local man from the Roma community was mobilized. Approximately 30 people gathered outside the recruitment office and attempted to force their way inside by breaking down the door.

Staff at the center opened fire, with at least four shots heard. Most of the shots were fired from a starter pistol, while one came from an AK-47, likely using blanks.
