The report included allegations of beatings and abuse in training centers, such as an account of a man being tied to an ATV and dragged across the ground. Witnesses also described a practice called "duct-taping," in which mobilized personnel are bound with tape to a post and left there for a long time.

After the article appeared, the State Bureau of Investigation launched a probe into claims of torture and deaths among mobilized soldiers in Skelia. The regiment's command has stated its readiness to cooperate with law enforcement. On July 31, the 425th confirmed that the intake of new recruits had been temporarily paused as of July 26. Meanwhile, the General Staff is reviewing the staffing of military units to ensure that personnel are distributed fairly within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"We are now moving toward uniting all of our dispersed battalions, company tactical groups, and reconnaissance detachments so that we can carry out our tasks on a single sector of the front," said Oleksii Bratushchak.
