The court stripped Volodymyr Zelensky's relative of military rank: details of the bribery case

The garrison military court in Novosibirsk ruled to strip the relative of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, of his military rank due to bribery. The man demanded 1.5 million rubles for the opportunity to dismantle a building on the territory of the military town, offering unobstructed access for builders and the removal of debris.

After receiving the bribe, FSB officers detained the man, who has been sentenced to nine years in prison, a fine of 1.5 million rubles, and a ban on holding positions in government bodies. Additionally, he was stripped of his military rank.

Serhiy Zelensky, as the man is also called, complains that due to the shared last name, he cannot receive quality medical care or find a job.

As a result of the court ruling, the relative of the President of Ukraine was stripped of military rank and sentenced to long-term imprisonment and a hefty fine for bribery.
