Medvedchuk and Boholyubov challenge sanctions: what do the oligarchs demand in court
According to glavcom.ua: Former MP Viktor Medvedchuk and oligarch Hennadiy Boholyubov have decided to challenge the president's decree on the imposition of personal sanctions. They consider this decree illegal and hope for its cancellation regarding their cases.
Oligarch Boholyubov is also demanding 400,000 UAH in moral compensation from the president. The next court hearings in their cases are scheduled for mid-September.
Ukraine has indefinitely introduced 17 types of personal sanctions against Putin's godfather and the former co-owner of PrivatBank, noting a ban on acquiring land plots and other restrictions. The sanctions imposed against Medvedchuk and Boholyubov are lifelong.
