Blows to Russian Supply Lines and Oil Facilities in Crimea Leave Visible Scars

According to Главком: Between June 12 and June 22, 2026, a series of Ukrainian military strikes targeted Russian logistics hubs and oil infrastructure in occupied Crimea. Satellite photos released by the company Vantor and published by the investigative outlet 'Schemes' show the aftermath, including destroyed transport routes and burning fuel depots. These attacks were aimed at crippling the supply chains that support Russian forces in the region.

Infrastructure Damage and Fires Documented

The satellite images reveal extensive damage to key infrastructure. Notable incidents include:

  • Damage to the Henichesk Bridge and nearby alternative crossings, recorded on June 21, 2026;
  • A damaged checkpoint at 'Dzhankoi' in the village of Peredmistne, Crimea, observed on June 17, 2026;
  • The aftermath of a strike on a bridge over the North Crimean Canal in the village of Stavky, Kherson region, captured on June 20, 2026;
  • Destruction on the Chonhar Bridge in Crimea, documented on June 12, 2026.

In addition, fires broke out at oil storage facilities. A blaze at an oil depot in Kerch started on June 20, 2026, with smoke and the operation of smoke generators on the Kerch Bridge visible on June 22, 2026. Another fire erupted on June 21, 2026, at an oil depot in the port of Kavkaz, Russia. Following these events, a major power grid failure occurred in occupied Crimea on June 24, 2026, after a drone attack, leading to blackouts in Sevastopol, Simferopol, Yalta, Alushta, and several other areas across the peninsula.

The situation in the region remains tense. As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted,

'The situation remains difficult.'

Strikes have been reported on infrastructure near Kerch, Feodosia, and Sevastopol, underscoring the ongoing volatility.

Ukraine’s defensive forces are focusing their offensive operations on disrupting Russian military supply lines, a move that could have strategic implications for the broader front. The damage inflicted on critical infrastructure in Crimea highlights serious consequences for Russian troops, who depend on these routes for resupply and reinforcement. With escalating tensions and continued Ukrainian attacks, the region is likely to remain a focal point for international attention.

In addition to the recent strikes on logistical targets, the Ukrainian Security Service has also focused on eliminating key air defense systems in the region. This targeted approach aims to weaken Russian military capabilities further.
