According to Мін. Оборони: Sweden is assembling one of its largest security assistance packages for Ukraine. Ukrainian Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov discussed the details with Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson, with a focus on arms transfers and bilateral cooperation.
Key Points of Negotiation
The negotiations covered several critical areas, including:
- Countering ballistic threats via the PURL system;
- Launching the Brave–Sweden program for defense innovation;
- The transfer of Gripen fighter jets and Meteor missiles;
- Air defense systems, Saab radars, electronic warfare assets, and drones, including deep strike capabilities.
This move signals a deepening of military collaboration between Sweden and Ukraine amidst the ongoing regional conflict.
