Svyrydenko announced a year-long moratorium on business inspections
According to glavcom.ua: The Ukrainian government, together with law enforcement agencies, plans to establish a year-long moratorium on business inspections. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this, referring to coordination with the National Security and Defense Council and discussions with President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to her, this decision should provide businesses with more freedom and contribute to the de-shadowing of the economy.
An audit of criminal cases against businesses is also planned to close unjustified proceedings that hinder entrepreneurial activities. New cases will only be authorized by the Attorney General or regional leaders. The government also plans to limit inspections by the tax and customs authorities, as well as strengthen control over the legality of investigative actions.
«Inspections will only be in high-risk sectors, while honest enterprises will receive protection. We are ready to make changes to legislation to enhance business protection, reform oversight, and ensure fair use of confiscated assets», emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
Next week, the launch of grants for the production of ammunition and explosives to support the defense industry and localize critical production is planned. An experimental project «Design and Build» is also announced, which will simplify the construction and restoration of infrastructure facilities.
Within the framework of this project, the state will conduct tenders for the full implementation of facilities «turnkey», which implies the contractor's responsibility for all stages of construction. This approach is a European practice that promotes the effective implementation of projects. The project will be monitored for 2 years by the corresponding team.
