Kyiv Region Power Outage Schedule for February 10, 2026, Announced by DTEK
According to Главком: Planned power outages will be in effect across the Kyiv region on February 10, 2026, according to schedules released by the energy company DTEK. These stabilization blackouts are necessary due to ongoing round-the-clock repair work on generation and distribution facilities, compounded by low air temperatures. These measures are a common feature of Ukraine's energy landscape as the country works to maintain its grid under immense strain.
From February 10 to 11, stricter outage schedules will be implemented in the region due to the cold weather. The situation was critically exacerbated by a massive Russian missile and drone attack on the energy system on February 7, which hit Kyiv and six settlements in the Kherson region particularly hard. Persistent drone attacks continue to hinder repair crews' efforts to restore power lines in Kherson. In Kyiv, authorities plan to bring an additional 9 megawatts of generating capacity online, which is expected to slightly ease the supply situation.

Ukraine's overall electricity supply situation remains tense, especially during the winter and as a direct consequence of the ongoing war. These stabilization schedules are designed to ensure greater reliability of supply by managing the significant strain on the system from both freezing temperatures and damage to energy infrastructure. Following the schedules is crucial to reduce the load on the national grid and aid in its recovery.
