UEFA coefficients table: what place does Ukraine occupy in March 2026

Ukraine has maintained the 25th place in the updated UEFA coefficients table after the first matches of the Round of 16 of European cups. The only representative of the country in the tournaments of the 2025/26 season remains Donetsk's Shakhtar, which started the playoff of the Conference League with a victory. This is reported by Suspilne Sport.

In the first match of the Round of 16 of the Conference League, «Shakhtar» defeated Polish «Lech» with a score of 3:1. Thanks to this, the Ukrainian club added points to the national ranking.

Despite the points gained, Ukraine remains in 25th position in the coefficients table. At the same time, the gap from 24th placed Romania has narrowed to 0.338 points. The advantage over the closest pursuer, Slovenia, has also increased.

Currently, the difference between the countries is 0.944 points.

UEFA coefficients ranking: who is in the top 10

There have been no changes in the top ten of the table. England remains the leader, with the largest representation of clubs in European cups.

The top positions of the ranking are as follows:

  4. Germany — 89.259

  5. France — 80.855

  6. Portugal — 69.666

  7. Netherlands — 67.345

  8. Belgium — 62.250

  9. Turkey — 51.475

In the lower part of the ranking, Ukraine is ahead of Slovenia and Azerbaijan but lags behind Romania. Slovenia is represented in tournaments by «Celje», which suffered a crushing defeat from AEK with a score of 0:4 in the first match of the Round of 16 of the Europa League.

As a reminder, Chelsea midfielder Pedro Neto is subject to UEFA disciplinary investigation for unsportsmanlike conduct. This concerns an incident that occurred during the playoff match of the Champions League against the French club Paris Saint-Germain, in which Chelsea lost 2:5.
