Gas tariffs for businesses will increase by 60%: when and by how much they will rise

According to ХВИЛЯ: The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Public Utilities has decided to increase gas distribution tariffs for non-household consumers. The tariff increase will occur in two stages: on January 1 and April 1, 2026. This decision was made on December 19.
New tariffs
According to the new tariffs, the average weighted tariff as of January 1, 2026, will be 2.3 UAH per cubic meter per month. After the increase, which will take effect on April 1, 2026, the average weighted tariff will rise to 2.72 UAH per cubic meter, indicating a tariff increase of 60.5%. It is noteworthy that this increase will affect more than three dozen gas distribution network operators. The tariff for household consumers will remain unchanged due to the existing moratorium on price increases.
This decision may impact the costs of businesses and enterprises using gas in their operations, as the tariff increase of 60.5% is significant. In conditions of economic instability and high inflation, such changes may reflect on the overall price level in various sectors of the economy. At the same time, the unchanged tariffs for household consumers indicate the state's efforts to maintain social stability for the population, considering its financial capabilities.
