Winner Announced in Rada TV Channel’s Content Competition for Ukraine’s National Marathon
Art Contest Winner Selected
According to Главком: The parliamentary television channel Rada has chosen the winner of its artistic competition to produce content for the national telethon "United News #UArazom" - the winner is LLC Faino-Kompani. The company is owned and managed by Maria Vladova-Hilevych. In 2023, Faino-Kompani received UAH 5.5 million from the state enterprise Multimedia Platform for Foreign Broadcasting. However, no record of a tender or specific funding allocation for this project appears on the ProZorro platform.
Company Background and Operations
Until 2021, Faino-Kompani was owned by Oksana Kulyk. In 2023, the company secured a contract to produce the series "Under the Sky." The company’s office is located in Kyiv on Dmytrivska Street, close to the Inter TV channel office, with which Faino-Kompani has collaborated on feature film production.
Since January 1 of this year, Rada TV has ceased broadcasting within the national telethon. The budget for parliamentary media exceeds UAH 80 million, while the telethon is financed through a separate budget program that also covers foreign broadcasting and the operations of Ukrinform. The total funding for this program surpasses UAH 1.5 billion.
- In April, the state enterprise signed agreements with media groups to produce marathon content for 2026.
- Three media groups received UAH 179 million each.
- One media group received UAH 100 million.
This development underscores the role of state funding in Ukraine’s media and content production landscape, particularly amid ongoing shifts in the media environment. The selection of Faino-Kompani as the winner, along with the absence of tender records on ProZorro, raises questions about transparency and competition in the sector’s funding processes. Given that Rada TV no longer participates in the telethon, this could affect future budget allocations and the evolution of media projects.
The recent selection of Faino-Kompani highlights significant trends in state funding for media production in Ukraine.
