Terrorist Attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney: What Happened

According to glavcom.ua: On December 14, a horrific terrorist attack occurred at the famous Bondi Beach in Sydney. As a result of an anti-Semitic terrorist attack, at least 16 people were killed, including a 10-year-old child. The incident happened during the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.

40 people were injured, including two attackers. One of the attackers, a 50-year-old man, was shot by police, while the other, a 24-year-old, was seriously injured and is in the hospital under guard.

Reaction to the Tragedy

The Prime Minister of Australia considers the incident to be a "deliberate attack on Australian Jews" and condemned it as an "act of sinister anti-Semitism." U.S. President Donald Trump also expressed his outrage, calling the tragedy a "horrific anti-Semitic attack" and urging Americans to be cautious during Hanukkah celebrations.

New Investigation Details

On Monday, it was confirmed that several homemade explosive devices were found at the scene of the tragedy. An active investigation is underway.

So said fruit shop owner, father of two, Ahmed al-Ahmed, who bravely intervened and managed to stop the attacker in Sydney.
