Tina Karol publicly apologized after the scandal with the song: why this step worked

Ukrainian singer Tina Karol managed to reduce the wave of criticism surrounding her new song, publicly addressing the audience with apologies. After this, a significant part of users on social media shifted from hate to support for the artist, and the scandal itself began to fade away. 

The topic was discussed in a live broadcast by journalist Slava Dyomin and producer Mykhailo Yasynskyi. 

According to them, the wave of negativity around Karol's song went beyond social media and was even picked up by pro-Russian media outlets. That is why the singer's team decided to respond promptly and provide public feedback.
