According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Tom Holland has been offered the role of Telemachus in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, 'The Odyssey'. The actor faced a scheduling conflict when production for the Nolan project overlapped with a new Marvel movie he was also set to appear in. To resolve this, Holland reached out to Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman to discuss rescheduling the Marvel shoot.

Sony agreed to adjust the production timeline, largely due to Christopher Nolan’s reputation in the industry. This decision proved pivotal, allowing 'The Odyssey' to wrap ahead of schedule. Holland remarked:

'I want to be in this film, but if I’m going to do it, I’ll have to call Sony and have a very awkward conversation.' – Tom Holland

The extra time freed up for the Marvel team enabled them to bring in director Destin Daniel Cretton and significantly refine the script. Holland noted: 'This film won’t drag on for more than five months, so we’re not really losing Tom for two years.'
