How to choose a language learning app

Experts emphasize that most free platforms have certain limitations, but:

  • Basic functions are sufficient for daily practice
  • Ads do not interfere with learning
  • Paid versions add deep grammar modules
  • Several apps can be combined without loss of effectiveness.

Paid services like Babbel or LingoDeer are oriented towards more structured learning. At the same time, Drops or Memrise are suitable for those who want to expand their vocabulary without strict rules. For many users, this becomes a sufficient reason not to return to Duolingo.
