US President Donald Trump has expressed a desire for the new NFL stadium in Washington to be named after him. The arena will replace the Robert Kennedy Stadium. According to ESPN, Trump dreams of this.Plans suggest that the new stadium will be ready by 2030 and will become the home for the NFL club 'Washington Commanders'. The project's cost is $3.7 billion. Although a final decision on the name has not yet been made, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt believes it would be a great idea since Trump facilitated the development of this project.

“It would be a great name since President Trump made the construction of the new stadium possible,” said White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt.

It is noteworthy that Russian speed skater Alexandra Saitina, recognized by the International Skating Union (ISU) as a neutral athlete, participated in the traditional address by Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly on February 29, 2024. Another supporter of Putin, skier Veronika Stepanova, posted a photo on Instagram, documenting Saitina's participation in the propaganda event. Saitina, along with other supporters of Putin and Russian servicemen, took part in this event.Participation in such events contradicts the IOC recommendations for neutral athletes. Nevertheless, Saitina has received visas to participate in the World Cup of speed skating, which will take place in Salt Lake City, Calgary, Heerenveen, and Hamar. The 2026 Olympics will be held in Italy.Trump's plans to name the new stadium have sparked discussion, intrigue, and various views on this idea.
