According to ХВИЛЯ: US President Donald Trump announced the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the war Russia is waging against Ukraine, confirming his negotiations with European leaders and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump held two days of consultations in Berlin with leaders from Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Poland, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, and NATO leadership. The total duration of the consultations lasted about eight hours, during which security issues for Ukraine were discussed.

Security Guarantees for Ukraine

As part of these negotiations, 12 EU and partner country leaders released a joint statement regarding security guarantees for Ukraine. The US offered Ukraine 'significant security guarantees' which, according to American officials, are similar to Article 5 of the NATO Charter. The US President expressed his readiness to present the agreement for ratification in the US Senate.

'We are closer than ever. And I think we are closer to the goal now. We want to save a lot of lives,' Trump noted.

He also emphasized that 'territory has been lost', commenting on the situation with Russia, and added that security guarantees are being actively discussed along with European partners. Vladimir Zelensky, in turn, noted that 'we heard from the US about territory issues regarding Russian demands' and views this as RF's demands.

Thus, Trump's negotiations with European leaders and the discussion of security guarantees for Ukraine indicate an intensification of international efforts towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
