According to Державна міграційна служба: Starting October 20, 2026, a new stationary Passport Service Center will begin operating on a pilot basis in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. This facility is dedicated to assisting Ukrainian citizens residing in Canada with the issuance and renewal of their passports. The center's operations are managed by the state enterprise 'Dokument,' with support from Ukraine’s State Migration Service and Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Location and Hours of Operation
The center is located at 3185 Harvester Road, Unit B2, Burlington, Ontario, L7N 3N8, Canada. It will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM local time. Service will be provided strictly by appointment, which can be scheduled through the official 'Dokument' website.
Services offered at the center include:
- Issuance and renewal of Ukrainian ID-card passports;
- Processing and renewal of international travel passports;
- Conversion of the 1994-style passport booklet into the modern ID-card format.
As the center is initially operating in a test phase, some services may have limited availability during this period.
To assist applicants, free consultations are available via official online platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and the center’s website. These resources aim to provide up-to-date information and guidance throughout the passport application process.
This new center will offer Ukrainians living in Canada a faster and more convenient way to access essential passport services, an especially important development given the growth of the Ukrainian diaspora.
The opening of Burlington’s Passport Service Center represents a significant advancement in making passport services more accessible for Ukrainians in Canada. It also reflects the Ukrainian government’s ongoing commitment to support its citizens abroad during challenging times. Operating in pilot mode will allow the center to refine its services based on community feedback and evolving needs.
