According to glavcom.ua: Every day at 9 a.m. Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Oleksandr Hotsalyuk.

On December 19, 2025, defender of Ukraine Oleksandr Olexandrovych Hotsalyuk, a resident of the town of Khorostkiv, was killed. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Khorostkiv City Council.

Oleksandr was born on June 19, 2003. Until the ninth grade, he studied at the factory school in Khorostkiv, later continuing his education at Husiatyn College majoring in 'Management'.

Having not completed his studies, he went on mandatory military service, starting on December 1, 2021, in the city of Mukachevo.

After returning from the army, he worked for some time at 'Interform Zakhid', and later at DP DG 'Podilskoye', however, driven by a sense of duty, on May 17, 2025, he signed a contract and joined the ranks of defenders of Ukraine.

Oleksandr performed combat tasks as a drone operator in the 2nd crew of UAVs of the 2nd platoon of strike unmanned aerial systems of the 1st company of strike UAVs of the 3rd battalion of military unit A4742.

The defender's life was cut short in the Varvarivka area of Zaporizhzhia. While carrying out a combat mission, the positions of the military were attacked by an enemy FPV drone - the wounds received were incompatible with life.

The fallen hero is survived by his parents, three brothers, and a sister.

'Glavkom' joins in a moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for their homeland.

Oleksandr Hotsalyuk is just one of the many tragic fates that have occurred due to Russia's interference in Ukrainian affairs. His dedication to the country and sacrifice should be remembered by all of us, so as not to forget those who give their lives for our future.
