According to Главком: A 44-year-old man fatally stabbed his 47-year-old sister during a dispute in a private home in Irpin, Kyiv region. The siblings had been drinking alcohol together prior to the altercation. The man inflicted a fatal wound to the woman's neck with a kitchen knife during the argument.

The victim was rushed to an intensive care unit but succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. Law enforcement officers detained the suspect at the scene under Article 208 of Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code.
