An abandoned shopping center 'Pechersky' will be demolished in Kyiv: what will be built in its place
According to hvylya.net: The construction of a new 18-story complex in Slava Square in Kyiv has become a subject of intense discussion. Currently, a modern building may rise on the site of the former shopping center 'Pechersky'. However, it is still unknown whether the project meets all regulations and whether all necessary permits were obtained legally.
'The construction of the new multifunctional complex has been sanctioned by the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning,' - said Mayor Leonid Kosakovsky.
Although the client for the construction is LLC 'Cartas Trust Company', and according to the registry, the company 'Pechersky Shopping Center' ceased to exist in 2022, questions arise regarding the height of the future building. The permit for the construction of the 18-story complex in the city center may contradict local urban planning regulations, which could lead to further discussions and changes in the project.
Instead of the shopping center, an impressive building may appear in the future in Slava Square - but whether it will fit into the urban landscape and whether it will be legal remains in question.
