According to Главком: A former university instructor in Cherkasy has been caught on multiple occasions dumping leftover food and garbage from her apartment window onto the sidewalk below. According to Andriy Maksyuta, head of the inspection department at the Cherkasy City Council, complaints have been filed against the woman, who previously taught English at a local university. This is not her first violation of public cleanliness regulations.

The incidents took place in downtown Cherkasy, where the woman threw borscht, vermicelli, bread, and other food scraps and trash from her window. The waste landed on sidewalks used by pedestrians, as well as near offices and shops. Maksyuta commented:

“For those who think slobs are uneducated people-we received an interesting complaint today. So, in the city center, a female citizen is violating public order rules by dumping leftovers (borscht, vermicelli) from pots and throwing bread and garbage out of her window onto the sidewalk, where offices and shops are located and people walk. The ‘hooligan’ in the realm of sloppiness turned out to be a teacher at one of Cherkasy’s universities. And quite aggressive.”

The woman has a history of such behavior. Although she previously calmed down after visits from authorities, this time she reportedly shouted from her window and over the phone: “My apartment-I do what I want.” Authorities are preparing an administrative protocol against her for violating public cleanliness rules. The incident has sparked public outrage, as such waste disposal creates significant inconvenience for residents and visitors alike.
