Trolleybus routes in Chernihiv will be suspended on August 17 and 18
In Chernihiv on August 17 and 18, public transport will temporarily change its operations due to power outages. Two trolleybus routes will be completely suspended, while two others will operate on shortened schedules. This is reported by the Department of Transport, Transport Infrastructure, and Communications of the Chernihiv City Council.
The temporary restrictions will be in place on Monday and Tuesday. The city authorities ask passengers to take these changes into account when planning their trips.
Which trolleybuses will not operate in Chernihiv on August 17 and 18
For two days, the movement of trolleybus routes No. 7A and No. 10 will be completely stopped. Route No. 11 will continue to operate, but instead of trolleybuses, passengers will be transported by buses.
In general, transport will operate according to the following scheme:

Route No. 7A will not operate;

Route No. 10 will not operate;

Route No. 8T will run from Independence Street to the Diagnostic Center;

Route No. 9T will operate between the Automobile Plant and the Ski Base;

Route No. 11 will be served by buses;

Routes No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 will operate without changes.
No separate schedule for the buses that will operate on route No. 11 has been published by the transport department. Passengers are advised to monitor announcements at the stops and through the city's official transport channels.
How transport will operate in Chernihiv during outages on August 17-18
The changes are related to power outages necessary for the operation of the contact network. To partially maintain communication between districts, electric transport on route No. 11 will temporarily be replaced by buses.
Routes No. 8T and No. 9T will not be completely stopped, but their schedules will be shortened. Trolleybuses No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 will continue to operate on their usual routes.
The city administration did not specify whether the restrictions will be in effect around the clock or only during certain hours. Therefore, it is advisable to check for timely updates from the carrier before traveling on August 17 and 18.
It should be noted that a competition for determining carriers for four bus routes has been announced in Chernihiv.
