According to glavcom.ua: In Chernivtsi, believers of the Moscow church attacked religious scholar Alexander Brodetsky in the Holy Spirit Cathedral. The incident occurred while he was showing literature that worshiped Russian tsars and metropolitans. This was reported by 'Glavcom' with reference to Brodetsky's post.
'Today, I was physically attacked in the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Chernivtsi because I, as a researcher, wanted to take a picture of a book that is publicly accessible in the center of the temple,' the message says.
Reaction to the violence
After the incident, Alexander Brodetsky called the police and filed a complaint about the offense. He added that the people who were under the church hit him with a broom and grabbed him by the throat.

'A man who looks like a clergyman attacked, grabbed my arms, insulted me, and so on. I became a victim of an attack only because I wanted to show people whether something had changed compared to March when books with prayers for the Russian state were sold here and so on,' he noted.
In Chernivtsi, an attack occurred in a religious cathedral against a religious scholar who wanted to investigate literature glorifying Russian tsars and metropolitans. The man was beaten and threatened while he was fulfilling his academic duties. After the incident, he reported the violence to the police.
