In Chernivtsi, the number of public transport on routes has been significantly reduced: reasons
From June 8, changes in the operation of public transport began in Chernivtsi. Due to the end of the school year and a seasonal decrease in the number of passengers, the municipal enterprise has reduced the number of buses and trolleybuses on several city routes. This was reported by the Chernivtsi Trolleybus Administration.
Which routes will operate under the new schedule
The changes affected trolleybus routes No. 2 and No. 3, as well as bus routes No. 1, No. 5, No. 8, No. 9, No. 15, and No. 23.
The enterprise explained that the decision was made due to a decrease in passenger flow after the start of the summer holidays. During this period, a significant number of students do not use public transport for daily trips, which affects the load on the routes.
Most routes will remain unchanged
At the same time, the Chernivtsi Trolleybus Administration emphasized that the rest of the city routes continue to operate unchanged. Their usual schedule and the number of vehicles on the lines remain.
Passengers are advised to check the current schedule in advance to avoid delays when planning trips around the city.
Updated schedules for buses and trolleybuses have been published on the official website of the Chernivtsi Trolleybus Administration.
It is worth noting that a new children’s sandbox called Maldives has been opened in Chernivtsi in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after Taras Shevchenko. The cost of using this sandbox is 150 hryvnias for a whole day, which caused outrage among local residents.
