CEC reports on problems with the Unified Marathon: how it will affect elections in Ukraine
According to glavcom.ua: The telemarathon 'Unified News' of a Ukrainian shade now requires special legislative regulation, as stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Serhiy Dubovyk. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the possibility of free broadcasting for all candidates during the election campaign and based his call for legal regulation of this issue on that.
Dubovyk noted that currently there are some restrictions related to propaganda, but in the future, this may change to ensure freedom of expression. He also added that a significant amount of money has already been allocated for conducting a large-scale telemarathon and relevant agreements have been made with television channels.
