Applications Open for Emergency Repair Crew Bonus

According to Кабмін: Applications are now being accepted through the 'Diia' government services portal for a monthly bonus of 20,000 hryvnias for workers on emergency repair and restoration crews. This financial support is for personnel participating in recovery work during the period from January to March 2026. According to information released by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, the first payments are planned for the end of February 2026. This initiative highlights the ongoing efforts to maintain and rebuild critical infrastructure across the country.

Application Process and the Role of the Crews

The application period opened on February 6, 2026. Companies must submit lists of eligible employees through the Diia portal between the 6th and 15th of each following month; individual workers do not need to apply themselves. Workers can learn about receiving the bonus via a notification in Diia after February 16, and about their inclusion on the list from their employer. Funds will be credited to the employee's existing bank account; no new accounts need to be opened.

Over 40,000 specialists are involved in these restoration efforts, including:

  • Power engineers
  • Heating specialists
  • Gas technicians
  • Water supply and sewage company workers
  • Municipal services
  • Railway workers
'I thank everyone who is working in repair and restoration crews today, in extremely difficult and dangerous conditions, so that the country can live and function.' Yuliia Svyrydenko

This measure is a crucial step in supporting the workers who are restoring critical infrastructure damaged in attacks, reflecting a state policy aimed at ensuring stability during crises. The 20,000 hryvnia bonus is intended not only to provide financial support but also to formally recognize their contribution to national recovery. Given the immense challenges Ukraine faces, such measures can help boost the motivation and readiness of personnel to perform difficult and dangerous tasks.
