The victim, Captain Oleg Zakharenko, a senior district officer with Police Department No. 4 of the Kramatorsk District Directorate, was killed on March 19th during a document check. The attacker, identified as a 50-year-old resident of Sloviansk with a prior criminal record, was taken into custody.
