Suspect in Police Officer's Murder Arrested in Donetsk Region, Faces Life Sentence

According to Главком: Law enforcement officers in Ukraine's Donetsk region have arrested a suspect in the murder of a police captain. The victim, Captain Oleg Zakharenko, a senior district officer with Police Department No. 4 of the Kramatorsk District Directorate, was killed on March 19th during a document check. The attacker, identified as a 50-year-old resident of Sloviansk with a prior criminal record, was taken into custody.
Special Police Operation Leads to Capture
A special police operation was launched to locate and apprehend the suspect. The arrest was carried out by officers from the Criminal Investigation Directorate, working in conjunction with special forces from the KORD unit and canine teams. A criminal case has been initiated under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

The detained suspect faces a potential sentence of up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
