A ballistic missile strike on a residential building killed seven people, including two children: a 13-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy. An additional 15 people were wounded in the assault.

Search and rescue operations, which began on March 7, are ongoing. Emergency crews from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) and municipal services are working at the site of the tragedy. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated:
