Kharkiv: State Emergency Service Sappers Recover Unexploded Russian Aerial Bomb from Private Property

According to ДСНС: In Kharkiv, specialists from the State Emergency Service (SES) have removed an unexploded Russian aerial bomb from the grounds of a private residence. The operation followed a wave of Russian guided bomb strikes on the Kholodnohirskyi district the previous day. One of those bombs claimed the life of a young woman and left 12 other people injured.

A second aerial bomb struck the soil in a private yard but failed to detonate. Experts from the Interregional Center for Humanitarian Demining and Rapid Response of the SES of Ukraine extracted the ordnance and transported it away for safe disposal. Authorities urge residents to call 101 or 112 if they encounter any suspicious objects.

Why the Recovery of This Unexploded Bomb Matters

The retrieval of this unexploded bomb highlights the ongoing danger posed by munitions remnants in areas affected by hostilities. It underscores the critical role specialized response units play in protecting public safety, particularly in conflict-affected zones.

Reporting suspicious items to the SES can help prevent further casualties and injuries among the civilian population.
