Routes of trams in Kharkiv changed until August 13
In Kharkiv, on August 11 and 12, trams No. 6 and No. 8 will not run on their usual route on Saltivske Shose and Saltivskyi Lane. The restrictions will be in effect from 10:00 to 14:00 due to the repair of the contact network, and during the break, a temporary bus service has been launched for passengers. This is reported by the Kharkiv City Council.
Tram movement in Kharkiv on August 11 and 12: changes to routes No. 6 and No. 8
Traffic has been halted on the section from Traktorbudivnykiv Avenue to Akademika Pavlova Street. The changes apply to both days, August 11 and 12. According to the published schedule, the restrictions do not extend to August 13.
At this time, tram No. 6 runs from the terminus 'Kharkiv-Passazhyrskyi' to the Machinobudivnykiv Park. It travels through Yevhen Kotlyar Street, Poltavskyi Shlyakh, Serhiiivskyi, Pavlivskyi and Constitution Squares, Heroiv Kharkiv Avenue and Koshkina Street.
Tram No. 8 travels from the terminus 'Odeska Street' to 'Zhuravlivskyi Hydropark'. Its route runs along Byronic and Heroiv Kharkiv Avenues, Morozov, Heorhii Tarasenko, Akademika Pavlova, Shevchenka Streets, and other streets according to a temporary scheme.
Temporary bus in Kharkiv: how to get from Saltivka to the metro
During the absence of tram service, the city has launched a temporary bus between microdistrict 602 on Saltivske Shose and the metro station 'Defenders of Ukraine'.
Towards the metro, the bus travels on Saltivske Shose, Akademika Pavlova Street, Heroiv Kharkiv Avenue, and Oleg Hromadskyi Street. In the opposite direction, it goes through Defenders of Ukraine Square, Heroiv Kharkiv Avenue, and Akademika Pavlova Street.
The changes are related to the repair of the contact network. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for travel between 10:00 and 14:00.
Please note that in Kharkiv, there is no exclusion that free travel in public transport may continue even after the war ends.
