Trolleybuses in Kherson on August 7: why traffic has stopped
Electric transport movement has been halted due to damage to the contact network. Without its restoration, trolleybuses cannot safely operate in the city, so they will not be temporarily released onto the routes.
The exact time for the restoration of movement has not yet been mentioned by the Military Administration. It will depend on the extent of the damage, the pace of repairs, and the security situation in the city.
Passengers are advised to consider the limitations when planning trips and to use other modes of transport. The city authorities will inform separately about the return of trolleybuses to the routes.
Light and water in Kherson after the attack on August 6
Damage to critical infrastructure due to the Russian strike on August 6 has also caused disruptions in electricity, water supply, and mobile communication. Electricity supply has already been restored to most consumers.
Partially without electricity remain the Shumensky microdistrict and Zhytloselyshche. Relevant services are working in enhanced mode to restore vital communications.
Water in the city is supplied according to a schedule during the repairs: from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The "points of resilience" have been moved to enhanced mode, and the authorities also plan to organize water distribution points.
Trolleybus stops in Kherson have already occurred after shellings and damage to the contact network. This time, the restrictions are related both to the repair of electrical networks and the consequences of the attack on critical infrastructure.
It is noteworthy that due to the Russian attack on Kherson, the building of the children's and youth sports school for chess and checkers was destroyed.
