Assault on Kherson

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: On August 31, Russian forces hit the roof of a supermarket in Kherson's Central District at around 4:30 p.m. An 11-year-old boy was injured in the attack and taken to the hospital immediately. The southern city has faced relentless attacks throughout the conflict.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, the day's shelling across the Kherson region killed three people and wounded seven, including the boy. In a separate incident earlier that morning, an 84-year-old man in the Dniprovskyi district sought medical help after a drone strike and was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury. By 5:30 p.m., the death toll from hostile attacks had reached three: a man and a woman in Kherson, and another woman in the village of Kostyrka.

Consequences of Military Actions

Russian troops targeted populated areas of the Kherson region using artillery and various types of unmanned aerial vehicles. Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, commented: "At about 4:30 p.m., the enemy attacked one of the supermarkets in the city's Central district."

These events once again underscore the danger faced by residents of the region as the conflict continues.

This attack is part of a wider pattern of strikes against civilians in Ukraine, especially in the Kherson region, where shelling and drone assaults have become routine. Beyond causing casualties, such attacks destabilize the area and spread fear among the population. Local authorities are urging people to remain cautious and stay updated on the news, as the situation remains tense.
