In Khmelnytskyi, starting June 9, the route of bus route No. 20 'Katіon – Leznevе' has changed. In test mode, it has been extended to the cemetery in Sharovets and the Ceramsite plant. The decision was made after numerous requests from residents who asked for improved transportation in this direction. This is reported by the site 'Ye'.

Bus route No. 20 has a new final stop

Previously, buses on route No. 20 would turn around at the roundabout near Katіon after traveling along Lviv Highway and return. From now on, the transport will continue further, covering Sharovets and the area near the Ceramsite plant.

According to Oleg Kostenetskyi, the head of the transport and communications control sector of the Khmelnytskyi City Council, changes are being implemented in test mode.

'There will still be three buses operating regularly on the route,' the official noted.

Why there was a need to extend the route

The testing period will last approximately three months, as stipulated by legislation. It can be extended if necessary.

According to Oleg Kostenetskyi, the new direction partially compensates for the absence of bus route No. 43 'Ceramsite Plant – Leznevе', which ceased operations at the beginning of the year.

The reason for closing the route was the mobilization of all drivers who serviced it. At the same time, route No. 20 has a similar connection, although it goes another way.

'The route was almost similar, it also started from the Leznevе microdistrict, but went from Vinnytsia Highway, while No. 20 travels from Yaroslavska Street,' Oleg Kostenetskyi explained.

It is reminded that on June 6 in Khmelnytskyi, the body of an 18-year-old girl was found. It was preliminarily determined that her death was the result of suicide due to a fall from a 16-story building.
