Traffic Restrictions and Roadwork Underway in Kyiv

According to Главком: On June 12, until 5:00 PM, traffic on the overpass along Academician Palladin Avenue near the Novobilychi railway station in Kyiv will be partially restricted. The closure affects the far-right lane heading toward the Akademmistechko residential area, due to asphalt concrete repairs. The work is being carried out by the municipal enterprise Kyivavtoshliakhmist, as reported by Kyivavtodor and the publication Glavcom.

Additionally, road construction continues on the Borshchahivka route, specifically at the intersection of the Ring Road with Lesya Kurbsa Avenue, where traffic limitations will remain in effect until July 5. On Minska Street in Kyiv, a major renovation started in March, during which over 600 meters of new, larger-diameter storm drainage pipes have been installed.

Pedestrian Safety and Infrastructure Improvements

Furthermore, pedestrian access on the bridge at the intersection of Beresteysky Avenue and the Ring Road will be restricted until September 15. This measure is necessary to carry out repair work that could impact pedestrian safety. All these efforts are aimed at enhancing the capital's road infrastructure.

Although these traffic restrictions cause temporary inconvenience for drivers and pedestrians, they are expected to improve road conditions and reduce the likelihood of accidents in the long term. Local authorities urge drivers to plan their routes in advance and account for possible delays during their journeys.

In addition to the ongoing work on the Palladin Overpass, there are also significant traffic restrictions on Zodchykh Street due to necessary repairs. These simultaneous projects highlight the city’s commitment to enhancing road safety and infrastructure, which, while causing temporary disruptions, will ultimately lead to improved travel conditions across Kyiv.
